School Year 2009-2010

 

Please remember to put your child’s name on all supplies.

 

Kindergarten

A waterproof school bag (large enough to hold a folder)

A folder – 2 pocket with the pockets on the bottom

Fiskar scissors that fit your child comfortably

1 tee shirt (oversized) to be used as a smock

1 set of watercolor paints

1 plastic drink cup (6oz) with name printed on it

1 pillow case (used to cover rest mat – rest mat supplied)

1 box of tissues

1 roll of paper towels

1 container of baby wipes

1 medium dispenser of hand sanitizer

Lunch bag or box – preferably insulated

 

First Grade

4 pencils with erasers

Crayons (pkg. of 24)

1 Set of watercolor paints (8-16 count with brush)

Scissors

Pencil Case

Small art box that can fit into a desk

Large bottle of liquid glue (Elmer’s or similar brand)

3 Folders (2 pocket)

2 Boxes of tissues

1 Roll of paper towels

1 Pack of Napkins

A waterproof school bag

Clorox wipes

Girls – Box of baby wipes

Boys – Bottle of hand sanitizer

1 Spiral notebook to use as a journal

Magic Markers

1 bottle of spray cleaner

 

Second Grade

3 Folders (2 pocket)

1 Pencil case

4 Sharp pencils with erasers

1 Red pencils

1 Large glue or glue stick

1 Crayon bag or box (small enough for the desk)

1 Ruler – 12 inches and centimeters

Crayons and markers

1 pair of scissors

1 Box of tissues

1 Roll of paper towels

1 Pack of Napkins

Third Grade

2 marble copy books (without spiral edges)

1 zipper pencil case (to fit inside the desk)

2 pencils with erasers (at all times)

2 red pencils

1 ruler- 12 inch (showing inches and centimeters)

1 yellow highlighter

1 folder

1 art box (shoe box size)

1 box of crayons

1 set of watercolors

1 dry erase marker

1 pack of 3x5 index cards

1 roll of paper towels (each trimester)

1 box of tissues (each trimester)

Fourth Grade

Please make sure all items are labeled with the child's name

1 Desk Dictionary

5 copybooks (no spiral wired books)

2 Pocket folders

1 100 pack 3x5  unlined index cards

6 sharpened pencils with erasers (At all times)

2 red pencils/pens

1 eraser

1 12-inch ruler (standard and metric measurement)

1 6-inch ruler (keep in pencil case)

1 eight pack of crayons to keep in the desk

1 YELLOW highlighter

1 scissors

Assorted markers, crayons, colored pencils

1 set of water colors

1 large or several small glue sticks

1 pencil case with a zipper

1 scotch tape

1 Art Box (shoe box size ONLY)

loose leaf paper (wide lines)

1 each trimester:  paper towels, tissues (3 all together)

1 container of sanitizing wipes

 

 

 

Fifth Grade

5 large marble copybooks

Loose leaf (in a folder, not a binder)

1 pencil case/ 6 pencils with erasers/ 2 red pens

12 inch ruler (cm/In)

1 Protractor (for homework)

1 small art box (must fit in desk) or crayon bag/ crayons/ scissors

Glue stick/ Elmer’s glue (no rubber cement)

1 roll of scotch tape

9”x12” Artist sketch book (minimum 50 sheet)

 

Note:   No spiral copybooks or other spiral materials

            No white-out

 

On the first day of school, each child is asked to bring the following:

                                           

            2 boxes of tissues                                         2 rolls of paper towels

            2 containers of hand sanitizer                      2 containers of Clorox Wipes

           

           

 

Sixth Grade

Sharpened #2 pencils with erasers, blue or black pens for writing, colored or red pens for underlining and checking, and highlighters  All must be kept in a pencil case 

6 Marble copybooks (Religion, Math, Grammar, Vocabulary, Social Studies, Science)  Spirals are not permitted.

1 soft sided 1" binder to hold:

  • 4 -2 pocket folders (1 pocket for each subject plus general information)

  • Loose leaf paper

1-8 pocket folder for tests (these can be purchased at Staples or Beckers)

A supply of 3x5 index cards

Holder for index study cards

Texas Instrument Calculator (TI 34)

Markers, crayons, scissors, glue (kept in art box)

Geo tool (needed at home for homework)

9x12 Artist sketch book

3 containers of Clorox wipes (or 2 of the large containers)

 

Supplies may need to be replenished as the year progresses.

 

Seventh and Eighth Grade 

6 marble copybooks ( Religion, Math, ILA, Writing, Science and Social Studies)  Spiral books are not permitted

1 highlighter (keep extras at home for when they are needed)

Blue or black pens and 1 red pen

Well-sharpened #2 pencils with erasers

Pencil case (students may not have scissors or compasses in their pencil case)

Texas Instrument Calculator TI-34 II (Staples @ $19.95)

9x12 Artist sketch book with a minimum of 50 pages

3x5 index cards

loose leaf paper

Art box with scissors, glue stick, crayons, markers
