Welcome to ELA!
ELA class is busy! It incorporates Reading, Writing, Grammar, Public Speaking, and Listening. Make your goal this year to copy down homework correctly, complete your assignments, and remember to always write in cursive. In addition, if you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

We must respect our classroom, classmates, faculty, administration, maintenance workers, and the cleaners here in the evening.

Let's make this a good year where your best work will shine!
This page will provide all the necessary homework for ELA. It will be updated each week. Homework is also posted on the homework board in the classroom. There will be times when homework will change because of several reasons. There could be an unexpected interruption in the weekly plan or students may need reteaching of a concept or additional practice in an area of study.
It is important that the student use his/her planner to copy from the classroom homework board in case this page does not get updated. Also, students collected three phone numbers from reliable classmates in case they need to clarify any homework.
Student responsibility is to complete homework every night in spite of extracurricular activities - Education comes first - no excuses, no exceptions!
Homework for the week of Monday, September 25 to Friday, September 29, 2023
We will do our best on...
Vocab Workshop Unit 2B ~
The following homework format will be followed when there is a full week of school. All homework will be written in the Vocabulary copybook neatly and in cursive only.
Monday - Write each of the ten words, the part of speech, and their definitions
Tuesday - Write one synonym and one antonym for each word
Wednesday - Write each word 3x each separating into syllables and add the stress mark
Thursday - Study using your copybook, homemade flash cards, or www.sadlierconnect games for the test on Friday.
If there is a shortened week, the above homework will still need to be completed in the same order listed above but on different days. This will ensure that students know the pattern each night.
